These Terms of Service apply when you use crackingbuy.co.uk and CrackingBuy's product-discovery, deal-discovery and related content. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy and Affiliate Disclosure.
1. About CrackingBuy
CrackingBuy is a UK shopping and deal-discovery service. We organise product information from merchants and affiliate partners, validate price and availability evidence where possible, and help shoppers find relevant retailer offers.
CrackingBuy is not the retailer, seller or marketplace for products shown on the site. We do not operate the merchant checkout and we do not take payment for the products you choose to buy from a retailer.
2. Using CrackingBuy
You may use CrackingBuy for normal personal shopping, product research and deal discovery. You must not use the service unlawfully or in a way that harms CrackingBuy, other users, merchants or our service providers.
In particular, you must not:
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its administration systems, accounts, databases or infrastructure;
- probe, attack, overload, disrupt or circumvent security, rate limits, access controls or technical protections;
- use automated scraping, harvesting or similar high-volume access in a way that interferes with the service or breaches applicable rights or restrictions;
- misrepresent CrackingBuy, our content, prices, merchant relationships or affiliate status; or
- use the site to facilitate fraud, unlawful activity or infringement of another person's rights.
3. Retailer purchases
When you choose a product or offer, CrackingBuy normally sends you to the relevant merchant through a retailer or affiliate link. Any purchase is then made directly with that merchant.
The merchant's own terms govern the purchase, including payment, delivery, cancellation, returns, refunds, guarantees and warranties. Before buying, check the merchant's checkout page and terms because they may differ from information previously shown on CrackingBuy.
If there is a problem with an order, delivery, return, refund or product supplied by a merchant, the merchant is normally the first organisation to contact because your purchase contract is with them.
4. Prices, availability and promotions
CrackingBuy aims to show useful and current product information. We use feed data, merchant information and validation checks where available, but prices, availability, delivery charges, voucher conditions and promotions can change quickly.
The price and availability shown at the merchant's checkout are the final information to check before placing an order. A product being displayed on CrackingBuy does not guarantee that it remains in stock or that a previous price or promotion is still available.
Where CrackingBuy describes a price as a lowest observed price, best current tracked price, verified saving or similar, that statement is limited to the evidence and retailers CrackingBuy was tracking for that product at the relevant time. It is not a promise that no lower price exists elsewhere in the market.
5. Affiliate links and commission
Some or all merchant links on CrackingBuy may be affiliate links. If you follow an affiliate link and complete a qualifying purchase, CrackingBuy may receive commission from the merchant or affiliate network.
CrackingBuy does not add a separate purchase charge to you for using an affiliate link. Affiliate relationships are explained further in our Affiliate Disclosure.
6. Product ranking and recommendations
CrackingBuy may rank, group or recommend products using factors such as search relevance, validated price evidence, availability, catalogue quality, product freshness, merchant performance, deal quality and aggregate shopper signals. Commercial value to CrackingBuy may be one input, but it does not turn a ranking into a guarantee that a product is the best choice for every shopper.
Product rankings and editorial descriptions are general shopping information, not personalised financial, medical, legal or professional advice. You remain responsible for deciding whether a product is suitable for your needs.
7. Product descriptions, images and third-party material
Product names, descriptions, specifications, images, trademarks and other merchant material may originate from retailers, brands, affiliate networks or their authorised data sources. Those rights remain with their respective owners.
We try to keep product information useful and accurate, but third-party catalogue information can contain errors, omissions or outdated details. Always confirm any feature or specification that matters to your purchase on the merchant's current product page.
8. CrackingBuy content and intellectual property
The CrackingBuy name, branding, site design, software, original written content, organisation of the service and other CrackingBuy-created material are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may browse and use the site for normal personal purposes.
These terms do not transfer ownership of CrackingBuy intellectual property to you. You must not reproduce or commercially exploit substantial CrackingBuy-created content, branding or software without permission, except where the law allows it.
9. Third-party websites and services
CrackingBuy links to third-party merchants, affiliate networks and may also link to or publish content through third-party social platforms. We do not control those third-party services. Their own terms, privacy notices, cookie practices and availability apply when you use them.
We are not responsible for a merchant's decision to change or withdraw a product, price, promotion, delivery option or website feature. This does not affect responsibility for anything CrackingBuy itself does wrong.
10. Availability of CrackingBuy
We aim to keep CrackingBuy available and useful, but we cannot promise uninterrupted access. We may need to maintain, secure, repair or improve the service, respond to third-party outages, or change features as the service develops.
Where a change materially affects these terms, we will update this page and the revision date. Changes apply from the updated date and do not remove rights that have already arisen under applicable law.
11. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for losses you suffer where they are a foreseeable result of CrackingBuy breaching these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses caused solely by a merchant or another third party where CrackingBuy has not caused or contributed to the problem.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful. In particular, nothing excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any rights or remedies you have under consumer law that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
12. Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms is intended to reduce any mandatory rights you have under UK consumer law. Because purchases are made from the merchant, your statutory rights relating to the goods or services you buy will normally be exercised against that merchant.
13. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how CrackingBuy handles personal data, shopping activity, affiliate referrals, technical information and connected social-platform activity.
14. Links to CrackingBuy
You may share ordinary links to public CrackingBuy pages provided you do so lawfully and do not suggest that CrackingBuy endorses you, your business or your content when it does not. You must not frame or present the site in a misleading way.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you also retain any mandatory protections available to you under the law that applies where you live.
If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, consumers may bring proceedings in the courts available to them under applicable UK law. Nothing in these terms is intended to make it harder for you to exercise a legal right to use your local courts.
16. If part of these terms is unenforceable
If a court or other competent authority decides that part of these terms cannot be enforced, the remaining terms continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
